Ultra wide-angle 16-35mm zoom lens
This high performance, fixed aperture, ultra wide-angle zoom lens combines excellent optical performance with flexibility, making it ideal for landscapes, architectural shots, photo journalism, travel and general use – delivering clear, sharp, expansive images with very little distortion.
L-series quality
The L-series is Canon's flagship professional lens range, representing the best in precision-designed EF optics. L-series lenses combine superior performance with superlative handling, and are resistant to dust and moisture.
Even though this is designed for a EF camera body such as an EOS 5D Mark III, it can also be used on EF-s bodies such as the EOS 70D
The lens is due in June 2014

The 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM is a compact, lightweight lens that’s ideal for travel, this ultra wide-angle EF-S zoom lens lets you fit more in every shot for dramatic landscapes and expressive architectural images.
Compact, lightweight ultra-wide angle zoom lens
Compact and lightweight (240g) with a compact design that’s ideal for travel, this ultra-wide angle 10-18mm zoom lens fits more in the frame – even when you are close to your subject - so you can capture more in every shot without stepping back. Designed for EOS DSLRs with APS-C sized sensors, it adds impact to landscapes, cityscapes and skies, and allows you to capture expansive interiors and architecture with ease.
Smooth, near-silent STM focusing in movies
Recording high quality movies that are always sharply focused is easy with STM (Stepping Motor Technology). It delivers steady near-silent continuous focusing, so your movies are smooth, and soundtracks only capture the surrounding sounds and not the noise of a focusing motor. The Image Stabilizer counteracts camera movement when shooting movies handheld.
The 10-18mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM is an EF-s lens that compatible with all EF-s bodies. However, the STM system will only work on the EOS 100D, EOS 650D, EOS 700D and EOS 70D.
