New Tamron Ultra Wide Lens for Full Frame

Way back in September 2014, Tamron announced at the Photokina Show that is was developing a new Ultra Wide Zoom lens for Full Frame Digital SLR's.
Well, the Tamron 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD has now been formally announced and its pricing has been confirmed.
Initial stocks will be available in Canon and Nikon with Sony due to follow later in the year.
Beyond that, this is an absolutely stunning lens. Water repellent, vibration control and a fixed aperture for full frame cameras. The Tamron 15-30mm f2.8 VC is the latest lens to offer all of these features and more. Not a fisheye lens, this is an ultra-wide angle lens suited for Full Frame Cameras, but will happily work of APS-C cameras as well.
Surprisingly, the lens comes with Vibration Compensation. This is quite a rarity with such a wide angle zoom. The optical construction of 18 elements in 13 groups, including for the first time an XGM (expanded Glass Moulded Aspherical) element within the front group and several LD (Low Dispersion) glass elements, assures that this lens delivers outstanding image quality throughout the entire zoom range and from corner to corner.
This is a joy to use, and it feels beautifully built.
As mentioned, stock is going to be limited, so get in quick to secure yours.
