CameraWorld & The Photography Show

Earlier this week, the decision was taken to postpone The Photography Show at the NEC. The annual pilgrimage to kit heaven for thousands of passionate photographers and videographers becoming another regrettable but unavoidable victim of the escalating Coronavirus outbreak.
Although touching and trying this year’s new photographic delights at the scale made possible by The Photography Show may be off the menu for the time being at least, another major draw of the event – the famous show deals - are still very much alive and kicking.
Jason Mitchell, Managing Director of long-standing fixture of the NEC event CameraWorld says:
With the importance we place on of our partnership with The Photography Show and the vital opportunity that it represents to our business, obviously we are hugely disappointed that the event will not take place. With the decision being made so late in the day, we, like many other businesses have been unable to recover a lot of our costs, but we are currently in discussions with a homeless charity to prevent our hotels rooms going to waste, so hopefully some good will come from this at least.
The current situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic is obviously a concern for a business like ours which places such a high premium on face to face contact, and the service that enables us to give to our customers.
However, we know from the feedback that we receive each year, and from seeing returning customers at the show, that the prices we are able to offer at the show represent a crucial opportunity for many photographers to purchase kit that they maybe otherwise have been unable to afford. We are therefore delighted to have the opportunity to offer those deals to the wider public via our website to those who manage to get to cameraworld.co.uk/sale before the nations urgent need for some retail therapy sees everything snapped up.
Many of the prices available are so significant that CameraWorld are unable to advertise them all online - so customers are advised to visit the sale page which goes live at 12.01 on Saturday morning until 23.59 on Tuesday 17th March to access these unprecedented reductions to the general public.
